Kanso Living

Kanso needed a digital experience that could communicate the craftsmanship and simplicity behind its furniture collection while making online purchasing easier. Fidelora redesigned the brand's e-commerce experience with a focus on visual storytelling, product discovery, and conversion.

Overview

Kanso creates contemporary furniture inspired by Japanese simplicity and modern architectural forms. As the company expanded its collection, its existing website became difficult to navigate and increasingly disconnected from the quality of its products. Fidelora redesigned the digital experience around discovery, material storytelling, and a more intuitive shopping journey, creating an e-commerce platform that feels closer to the experience of visiting a design showroom.

Our Challenge

Kanso's previous website was heavily product-focused but did little to communicate the craftsmanship, materials, and design philosophy behind the collection. Visitors often needed several steps to find relevant products, while mobile users experienced an especially fragmented shopping journey. The new experience needed to balance editorial storytelling with the practical information required to make a considered furniture purchase.

Our Approach

Fidelora reorganized the experience around three principles: discover, understand, and choose. Products were grouped into more intuitive collections, while photography and editorial content were used to introduce the design philosophy before presenting technical specifications. We created a modular product-page system that brought dimensions, materials, delivery information, and related products into a clearer hierarchy. The visual direction intentionally used generous whitespace, large imagery, and restrained typography to reflect Kanso's design language.

Result

Following the launch, mobile conversion increased by 38% and product-page engagement grew by 56%. The average time spent on key collection pages increased by 42%, while product discovery through internal navigation improved significantly. Kanso also reported a 31% increase in online inquiries for higher-value furniture pieces during the first quarter after launch.
